Councilmember McGlone introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #10 -10 -245 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 10 -25, THE BITUMINOUS <br />PAVING OF CHAMELEON STREET IN THE SHAWN ACRES SUBDIVISION, AND <br />DIRECTING THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted on July 27, 2010 <br />in response to a petition, a feasibility report for street improvements to Chameleon Street in the <br />Shawn Acres Subdivision has been received, having been prepared by Steve Jankowski, <br />Assistant City Engineer; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council adopted a resolution on July 27, 2010 fixing a date <br />for a Council public hearing on the proposed improvement; and, <br />WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was <br />given, and the hearing was held on August 24, 2010, at which time all persons desiring to be heard <br />were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; and <br />WHEREAS, the time available for the receipt of a petition opposing the project has <br />expired; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the improvement is necessary, cost - effective, and feasible as detailed in the <br />feasibility study report. <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. <br />3) That the Engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such <br />improvement. <br />The motion for the adoption . of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Wise and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Wise <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />RESOLUTION #10 -10 -245 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
