Councilmember Look introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #10 -11 -253 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 3 PARTIAL PAYMENT TO GREAT NORTHERN <br />LANDSCAPES INC. FOR CONTRACT B IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #10 -23 EAST <br />MEANDERING COMMONS PARK <br />WHEREAS, on January 26, 2010 the Ramsey City Council authorized the solicitation of <br />bids from plans prepared by URS Corporation, Close Landscape Architecture, and City staff; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project 10 -23, East <br />Meandering Commons Park, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on <br />March 26, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director /Principal City Engineer, Brian Olson has inspected <br />the completed work and recommends partial payment to Great Northern Landscapes, Inc. in the <br />amount of $5,320.00. <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director /Principal City Engineer, Brian Olson has inspected <br />the completed work and recommends partial payment to Great Northern Landscapes, Inc. in the <br />amount of $85,525.84.00. <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director /Principal City Engineer, Brian Olson has inspected <br />the completed work and recommends partial payment to Great Northern Landscapes, Inc. in the <br />amount of $24,006.50. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Great Northern Landscapes, <br />Inc. for the IP 10 -23 East Meandering Commons Park in the amount of $24,006.50. <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the pay request and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br />3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the date of November 2010. <br />That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resolution. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Elvig upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />RESOLUTION #10 -11 -253 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
