Councilmember Look introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #10 -12 -263 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0881 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FROM CITY OF RAMSEY PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TO ALLOW <br />FOR CONTINUED USE OF A TEMPORARY MODULAR OFFICE STRUCTURE ON <br />THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 14100 JASPAR ST NW AN INTERIM PERIOD OF <br />TIME. <br />City of Ramsey Public Works Department, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant," properly <br />applied to the City of Ramsey (the "City ") for an Interim Use Permit to place a temporary <br />modular office structure on the same parcel as their existing facility for an interim period of time <br />on the property generally known as 14100 Jaspar St NW and legally described as follows: <br />Lot 1, Block 1, Gateway North Industrial Park, Anoka County, MN <br />(the "Subject Property") <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Applicant appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing on <br />January 5, 2005 and that the public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes <br />of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br />2) That the City Council approved the Interim Use Permit on January 25, 2005, pursuant to <br />findings of fact favorable to the applicant. <br />3) That the Subject Property is approximately 4.33 acres in size and is zoned Public /Quasi- <br />Public; the surrounding properties are zoned E -2 Employment. <br />4) That Section 117 -52 (Interim Use Permits) of the Ramsey City Code allows for interim <br />uses to allow a use for a limited period of time that reasonably utilizes the property where <br />it is not reasonable to utilize it in the manner provided by the comprehensive guide and to <br />allow a use that is presently acceptable but that, with anticipated development will not be <br />acceptable in the future. <br />5) That the Applicant submitted an application requesting an Interim Use Permit to place a <br />temporary modular office structure on the property to utilize for offices, training and a <br />lunch room. <br />6) That permanent public works campus is projected to be built at some point in the future <br />on the Bury & Carlson site, thus alleviating the need for this temporary use. <br />7) That the proposed temporary modular office structure shall conform to the State Fire and <br />Building Codes. <br />8) That the proposed placement of the temporary modular office structure will comply with <br />all applicable setbacks in the Public /Quasi - Public District. <br />
