Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION//00-09- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #99-67 <br />SUBDRAINAGE DISTRICT NO. 1) <br /> <br />AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />(MISSISSIPPI RIVER STORMWATER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 8, 2000, City Council adopted Resolution #00-08- <br />approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Improvement <br />Project #99-67, Mississippi River Stormwater Subdrainge District No. 1, bids were received, <br />opened and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: <br /> <br />Bidder Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Meadowvale Construction <br />Northdale Construction <br />Barbarossa and Sons, Inc. <br />Burschville Construction <br />W. Weidema, Inc. <br />Richard Knutson, Inc. <br />Volk Sewer & Water <br />Randy Kramer Excavating <br />Lametti & Sons, Inc. <br /> <br />$294,128.00 <br />$317,128.24 <br />$336,525.35 <br />$348,276.85 <br />$353,186.50 <br />$356,949.50 <br />$372,698.76 <br />$373,777.22 <br />$392,393.55 <br />$397,770.05 <br />$448,715.15 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Meadowvale Construction is the lowest responsible <br />bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Meadowvale Construction in the name of the City of Ramsey for the <br />construction of Improvement Project #99-67, Mississippi River Stormwater Subdrainge <br />District No. 1 in the amount of $294,128. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />-211- <br /> <br /> <br />
