Voting No: <br /> <br /> Case #3: Ahth°~ation to Hire on~ Full Time Public Works Maintenance Worker <br /> <br /> Human:Resources Manager Hery!a stated that on May 23, 2000, Council gave the authorizatmn <br /> to staff t~:~e3pen the proc~S}:~Cruit and h/re one full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker. <br /> As required ~bYi:'ithe union ;ff~ement, the position was posted internally for seven business days <br /> followed by ~!'externaf~'bosting. Sixteen applications were received by the June 23, 2000 <br /> deadline. Alli',91~ these applicants were sent a supplemental application to complete further <br /> identifying thei~!~kills, equipment proficiency, and salary requirements. Nine applicants returned <br /> ,their supplemental applications by the July 6, 2000 deadline to continue the selection process. <br />'~ :'):'i~er reviewin'k and ranking the completed applications, five applicants were interviewed by the <br /> Director ;°f'Public Works, Parks/Utilities Supervisor, Streets Supervisor, Public Works Lead <br /> Per~°n)~nd Human Resources Manager.
