Councihnember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUIST1ON OF PROPERTY FOR THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #99-51 (153m~ AVENUE <br />N.W./155TM AVENUE N.W. EXTENSION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City finds it necessary and in the best public interest to construct a <br />segment of its Municipal State Aid system, currently known as 153rd Avenue N.W/155th Avenue <br />N.W. Extension ("Public Improvement Project"); and <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, the Improvement Project represents the last segment of an east-west <br />collector street which runs from Roanoke Street N.W. to U.S. Highway #10, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, except for that part of the above described real property necessary for the <br />Public hnprovement Project, the owner's real property described herein is predominantly <br />wetland which the City finds is necessary to acquire for the public purpose of wetland <br />conservancy and storm water drainage; and <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, the City has authority to acquire the real property for the Public <br />hnprovcment Project by eminent domain pursuant to Minn. Stat. Chapter 117; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has the right to acquire the real property prior to the filing of an <br />award by the Court appointed commissioners, pursuant to Minn. Stat. §117.001 and §117.042; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City finds and declares that it is in the public interest to acquire title to <br />and possession of the real property prior to the filing of an award by the Court Appointed <br />Commissioners; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the property owner of the real property which needs to be acquired has <br />been identified by the City as follows: <br /> <br />Pin FEE OWNER <br /> <br />21-32-25-24-0001 <br /> <br />Reginald Vassuer <br /> <br />REAL PROPERTY DESCRIPTION <br />The Southeast Quarter of the <br />Northwest Quarter of Section 21, <br />Township 32, north range <br />west, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />l~th e "S ubj ect P top erty"), <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1.
