I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />DRAPT <br /> <br />JOh-NT LAW EN'FORCEMt;NT COUNCIL AGREEMENT <br /> ADDE~NT)UM #1 <br /> <br />TId]:S AGKEEMENT ADDENDUM is made by and between the County of Anoka, the Cities of Anoka, <br />Blaine, Centerville, Circle Pines, Columbia Heights, Coon Rapids, Fridley, Lexington, Line Lakes, <br />Ramsey, St. Francis, and Spring Lake Park, and the Circle Pines-Lex.ington-Centerville Joint Municipal <br />Police Commission. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />In 1970, the Anoka County Joint Law Enforcement Council was formed by a joint powers <br />agreement and was modified by an agreement executed in 1982 to add a number of cities in <br />Anoka County.. <br /> <br />The county, cities, and police commission named above (herein "parties") wish to enter into this <br />agreement addendum to amend the loint Law Enforcement Council Agreement in order to add <br />the Cities of Centerville and St. Francis as parties to the agreement, and to make other <br />appropriate amendments to the parties' agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PARTEES AGREE TO AM_ENI) TI:t~.ER .AGREENIENT TO <br />7~NCLUDE TI:W, FOLLOWThNG: <br /> <br />The first paragraph in Section 2 of the Joint Law Enforcement Council Ageement is amended <br />to read as follows: <br /> <br />That it would be subject to the management of a council of-23 2_~6 whose <br />membership would be constituted by appointment on an annual basis by each of <br />the participating govermnental units of their Chief of Police together with one <br />other individual to be appointed by the 5qllagc or City Council; provided, <br />however, that if a particip.ating ..governmental unit contracts wit. h the Anoka <br />County Sheriff for police services, it sh.all be represented by the Anoka'CounW <br />Sheriff; provided further, however, that the cities of Centerv/lle, Circle Pines and <br />Lexington and the Circle Pines-Lexington-Centerv/lle Joint Municipal Police <br />Commission shall be represented by their Ch/efofPolice and the Chairman of the <br />Joint Municipal Police Commission; and that the County would be represented by <br />the Sheriff and one ,.,t,.~, L,,,.,v,~.,,~, tu bp-'t-,t,'-,,,*~'-~-' '~;~ .... t,,~'-- "' - --J~,~,:,,., ~.-~' ,..~,,.~y'" ....... <br /> <br />m four individuals: eric ~o repre.~en~ ....
