On December 1, 1999 the City received a legd~m <br /> remove the speed humps and look into other traffic c~;g altemativ~fter viewing the site <br /> with MnDOT they have made it apparent that leaq~g~¢+'~g~d hu~fl;~':~.t an option if the <br /> road is to continue to be included on the MSA system. <br /> <br /> Patti Loken, Assistant State Aid Engineer, stated that her office m~s~the stare'laid system and <br /> explained that the state aid system is a.sy~em of roads that is made uV;~;~f~nk.~g~ways, county <br /> roads, and MSA roads. She:St~i~ed that after MnDO~ ~t~informed of the speed bumps they came out to <br /> Dysprosium s~'et:;:~/~-~'"~:-, the bumps ~;.it was at that time that MnDOT made the <br /> determination}~ the bum'~'~id not meet th~!~-~)andards and for that reason the letter was <br /> written t0:~lx~;:~ity informing%em that the sP~i~¢?b(~mps should' be removed and that MnDOT <br /> woul&~:[~,~hng to work/~i~h the City on~g~'traffic calming alternatives. By removing Dysprosium Street from the MSA system the <br />: ~City wout&~educe their needs by $3,800.
