The C~ty <br />wanted to'"~eV, iew what w~';~x~ai~able ~n the marketplace for finanmaI services. Proposals were <br />due by Fnda~,.,,,,.,r~,x Septembe[2~;:,. ,;~,,, 2000. Both Sprmgsted and Juran and Moody returned a proposal <br />of services off~e~d and a ~ee schedule. The Financial Advisor selection was discussed briefly at <br />the F~nance Committee meeting on September 26, 2000, but was tabled for a later period when <br />there would b%~ore t~me for open &scussmn. The C~ty of Ramsey uses a finanmal consultant <br />'%-'i!),.~.not only m tti~,~ stmcmnng' and ~ssuance of bonds, but for the assistanCe m projects such as <br />'v:i:,~bvenue fo~&i'sting, cash analysis for applications like tax increment financing, and for any <br />~PeCi,al, p~oj:aots which the City has inquires about possible funding alternatives. The financial <br />conSul~rit works closely with the City's bond attorney (Briggs & Morgan) in several of the <br />pr0jeets listed above.
