Cathleen is a. <br />certified and insured massage therapist who will be the sole employee and expects to service a <br />maximum of 5-10 clients per week. She is requesting to service clients Monday - Saturday with. <br />operation hours of 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Cathleen would mainlY be servicing friends, family, <br />and neighbors. Mrs. Artman does not intend to advertise her business or take in any clients that. <br />she does not know on a personal basis. <br /> <br />City Code restricts .home occupations to 20% of the gross floor area of the home. The' room. <br />where the home occupation will be established is 144 square feet (12 x 12), which equates' to <br />approximately .04 % of the gross floor area. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission reviewed the' conditional use request at their regular meeting on <br />November 6, 2000. A resident expressed concern during the public hearing as to'whether or not <br />signage of the business and parking along the street would be permitted. The proposed <br />conditional use permit prohibits any interior or exterior signage of the proposed business and off- <br />street parking must be provided by the Applicant. <br /> <br />-105- <br /> <br /> <br />
