Councilmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RI;SOLUTION #00 - 11 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING ALLOCATING $1,000 DOLLARS TO BE USED FOR THE .TItlRD ANNUAL HOME IMPROVEMENT FAIR ON MARCH 10, 2001. WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey participated in the April 1999 and FebrUary 2000 Home Improvement Fair; and WHEREAS, the City Council approved donating $1,500 for the April 1999 and $I,250 for the February 2000 Home Improvement Fair; and WHEREAS, the City .of Ramsey recei~,ed a refund from the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce in the amount of $1,190.98 after all the applicable bills were paid from the February 2000 Home Improvement Fair; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey Staff is requesting approval to participate in the 2001 Home Improvement Fair; and .. WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is requesting that the Council allocate $1,000 dollars to fund a portion of the start up costs of the North Suburban Home Improvement Fair; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey Staff is requesting $1,000 dollars be allocated through the 2000 EDA Donations budget for the Home Improvement Fair. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City of Ramsey is hereby authorized to Participate in the 2001 Home Improvement Fair. 2) That the City Council hereby authoriZe the allocation of $1,000 dollars from the 2000 EDA Donations budget to help fund a portion of the start up costs of the' March 2001 North Suburban Home Improvement Show.
