I I I I I t I t Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #00-11-XXX RESOLUTION APPROVING 3rd PARTIAL PAYMENT TO ANDERSON MECHANICAL, INC FOR MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION'ON FIRE STATION #2 WHEREAS, on January 11, 2000, Council authorized staff to request bids on the Fire Station #2 building project pertaining to General Contractor, Mechanical and Electrical; and WHEREAS, on February 29, bids were opened for the General Contractor, Electrical and Mechanical sections of the Fire Station #2 project; and WHEREAS, on March 14, 2000, Resolution #00-03-065, #00-03-066, and #00-03-067, Council awarded bids for the project to Ebert Inc as General Contractor in the amount of $1,177,000, Anderson Mechanical in the amount of $212,513 and Vander Vegt Electric, Inc in the amount of $26,709.255; and WHEREAS, Fire Chief/Public Works Director, Dean Kapler, has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to Anderson Mechanical in the amount of $26,709.25. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Vander Vegt Electric, Inc. for said project in the amount of $26,709.25. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts this portion of the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the month of November, 2000. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance DePartment be provided a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof'. and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: -75-
