Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Klm Moore-Sykes <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br />Councihnember Terry Hendfiksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at 5:50 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Receive Information on Hiring of Patrol Officer <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Moore-Sykes stated that on October 10, 2000, Council authorized <br />hiring one of the five finalists for the patrol officer position and requested staff bring the name of <br />the newly hiring officer to the next meeting. Final interviews were held on October 11, 2000, <br />and based on the panel's recommendation, Timothy Frankfurth was offered a position of patrol <br />officer with the City of Ramsey. Mr. Frankfurth's starting salary is $33,688 which is that <br />starting patrol officer salary for 2000. The offer was made contingent on successful completion <br />of background checks, psychological examination and an employment physical. The new officer <br />will serve a one-year probationary period. <br /> <br />Case #2: Authorize Hiring of Office Supervisor <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Moore-Sykes stated that on September 13, 2000, Council <br />authorized the creation of a new Office Supervisor position in the Police Department and <br /> <br />Personnel Committee/October 24, 2000 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />-27- <br /> <br /> <br />
