Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #00-1-2- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING 1ST PARTIAL PAYMENT TO MEADOJvWALE <br />CONSTRUCTION, INC. AND CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />#99-67, (MISSISSIPPI RIVER STORMWATER SUBDRAINAGE DISTRICT NO. 1) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 11, 2000, the Ramsey City Council approved Improvement Project <br />#99-67 (Mississippi River Stormwater Subdrainage District No. 1) as a non-assessment project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, September 13, 2000, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #00-0%233 <br /> awarding the bid for Improvement Project #99-67 to Meadowvale Construction in the amount of <br />$294,128.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to approve Change Order No. 1 which results in a <br />decrease in contract price by replacing concrete pipe with polyethylene resulting in a new contract <br />amount of $265,517.60; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski inspected the completed work and <br />recommended partial payment to Meadowvale Construction in the amount of $38,954.94. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Meadowvale Construction for <br /> Improvement Project #99-67 in the amount of $38,954.94. <br /> <br />2. That the City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release <br /> fbrm fbr this payment. <br /> <br />3. That the City Council hereby authorizes a Change Order to Meadowvale Construction, Inc. for <br /> Improvement Project #99-67. <br /> <br />3. That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills <br /> for the month of December 2000. <br /> <br />4.
