Board Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #00-10- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FOR A VARIANCE TO CONSTRUCT AN ACCESSORY STRUCTURE CLOSER TO <br />THE FRONT PROPERTY LINE THAN THE PRINCIP~ STRUCTURE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Roger Lavoie, hereinafter referred to as "Appl{cant," has properly applied <br />for a variance from Section 9.11.02 of the Rarnsey City Code to construct a garage closer to the <br />front property line than the principal structure on the property generally known as 6200 160~ <br />Lane NW Avenue and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 5B, 'Block 1, Oakwood Hills, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> and <br />Tract B Registered Land Survey 193 <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Board of Adjustment conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.05 of the <br />Ramsey City Code on October 3, 2000, and that said public hearing was properly advertised, <br />and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated as a part of these findings <br />by reference. <br /> <br />That the subject property is zoned R-l, Rural Residential and is approximately 7.5 acres in <br />size. <br /> <br />3. That the subject property is surrounded by R-1 Rural Residential zoning developed with <br /> single family homes. <br /> <br />4. That Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code does not permit the construction of accessory <br /> structures closer to the front property line than the principal structure. <br /> <br />5. That the principal structure on the Subject Property is approximately 500 feet from the <br /> property line. <br /> <br />6. That the Applicant is proposing to construct a garage that will be approximately 455 feet <br /> from the property line. <br /> <br />That City Code allows for a total of 4,064 square feet of garage and accessory buildings on <br />the subject property; the proposed garage is 1,440 square feet in size and the garage attached <br />to the principal structure is 704 square feet, for a total of 2,144 square feet of garage and <br />accessory building space. <br /> <br />8. That there are special conditions applying to the Subject Property that do not generally apply <br /> to other properties in the district; namely the side and rear yard contains wetlands, a mound <br /> <br />P15 <br /> <br /> <br />
