<br />Mayor Gamec stated that the City gave the resident a date of October 15th to submit a plan and <br />they have to give him that opportunity. <br /> <br />Mr. Green questioned why he can't be forced to move the truck until the issue is resolved. The <br />neighbors should not have to suffer. <br /> <br />Case #10: <br /> <br />Authorization to Terminate an Electrical Transmission Line Location <br />Agreement with the City of Anoka <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that on July 13, 1999, Council authorized a TIF development <br />agreement with Direct Enclosures for construction of a facility, which will be located in Energy <br />Industrial Park. As part of the negotiations to initiate the project, the City of Ramsey would <br />receive payment from the City of Anoka for the release of an electrical transmission line location <br />agreement entered into on March 22, 1996. In order for the City of Ramsey to receive payment <br />from the City of Anoka, all parties involved in the original electrical transmission line location <br />agreement would need to terminate the ag~eement of March 22, 1996, A termination agreement <br />has been prepared and signed by the City of Anoka. Both the City of Ramsey and Connexus <br />Energy will need to agree to the termination agreement. As was agreed upon through <br />negotiations for the Direct Enclosures development project, the City of Ramsey will receive <br />$43,984.14 as payment for the termination of the electrical transmission line location agreement. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to authorize <br />execution of a termination agreement of an electrical transmission line location agreement <br />executed on March 22,1996, and that the said payment be made on or before November 1, 1999. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Connolly, <br />Anderson, and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #11: <br /> <br />Receive Hiring Recommendation for Public Works Maintenance Worker <br />Position <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manger Pruitt Hottinger stated with the resignation of Charles Cornelius <br />in August 1999, a vacancy occurred in the full-time Public Works maintenance worker pool. On <br />August 24, 1999, City Council authorized acceptance of the resignation of Mr. Cornelius. An <br />advertisement was placed in the Star Tribune Newspaper on September 5th to recruit external <br />candidates for the position, Five applications were received by the application deadline on <br />September 17, 1999, Interviews were' conducted on September 271h, and staff is proposing to <br />perform second interviews on October 61h. If Council is comfortable, a motion could be made to <br />authorize hiring the applicant as recommended by Staff after the second interviews are <br />conducted, <br /> <br />City Council/September 28,1999 <br />Page 21 of 30 <br /> <br />Mil <br />
