VotingNo: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: Police Sergeant Position <br /> <br />Police Chief Gustafson stated that he was recommending promoting Corporal Tim Dwyer to the <br />position of Sergeant at an mmual salary of $55,731. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to promote <br />Officer Tim Dwyer, to the position of Sergeant, effective January 1, 2000, at an annual salary of <br />$55,731. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, and <br />Anderson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />2000 Street Maintenance Program <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the Public Works Committee met earlier in the evening and <br />directed him to put together a maintenance plan to meet the 2000 budget requirements. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec inquired as to the total budget cost. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained that there is a budget of $400,000 with half being paid by the <br />City and the other half being collected as assessment. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen explained that the entire maintenance program totaled $1.3 million <br />and the Committee recommend that staff put together a five year detailed plan with a I5 to 20 <br />year generic plan to allow for better prediction of when maintenance will be needed. <br /> <br />Case#7: Consider Resolution Submitting Ramsey Comprehensive Plan to the <br /> Metropolitan Council without Preliminary Approval <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that the City Council held a work session to discuss the <br />Comprehensive Plan on November 17, 1999, and again discussed completion of the <br />Comprehensive Plan during the Council meeting of December 14, 1999. Staff received direction <br />to make changes for Council consideration. Changes to the text of the Comprehensive Plan were <br />completed and distributed to the Councilmembers prior to the meeting.
