W., RAMSEY, MINNESOTA 55303 FAX (612) 427-2361 <br /> <br /> DISPATCHER (612) 427-1212 <br /> <br /> ADOPT-A-SPOT <br />CITYWIDE PROGRAM <br /> <br />FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS <br /> <br />What is Adopt- A- Spot? <br /> <br />The Adopt- A- Spot Program will be a catalyst to organize active community participation <br />in keeping the City beautiful. This program is a partnership between the City of Ramsey <br />and its citizens. This program will build civic pride by beautifying Ramsey's city streets, <br />parks, trails, a spot,etc., increasing safety and decreasing litter and other pollutants through <br />trash removal and other volunteer beautification efforts. <br /> <br />What are the organization's commitments? <br /> <br />Adopt- A- Spot program wants individuals, organizations, or businesses to "ADOPT" a <br />street, park, trail, lot, hot spot- most anywhere, and agree to keep the area cleared of litter <br />(with clean ups two times a year) for at least two years. <br /> <br />What are the City of Ramsey's commitments? <br /> <br />The City provides volunteers with a supply of trash bags, reflective vests, cotton gloves, <br />and litter pick-up tools. The City will also give the organization a certificate suitable for <br />framing and erect special Adopt- A- Spot recognition street signs along the spot your <br />organization has adopted. These signs will remain in place as long as the organization <br />performs the cleanup requirements. <br /> <br />How do we go about adopting a spOt? <br /> <br />Call the Adopt- A- Spot Program Coordinator for an Information Packet to be faxed or <br />mailed to you. <br /> <br />If your organization decides to adopt a spot, select a representative as liaison to the <br />Program Coordinator. <br /> <br />Select your spot that your group would like to adopt. <br /> <br />Complete and return the Agreement Contract. <br /> <br /> <br />
