Following the interviews the panel reviewed their scoring and discussed the candidate's
qualifications for the respective boards and commissions. There was consensus among the panel
members as follows: to recommend reappointment of Trent Hassett and Michael Max to the
E.P.B.; to recommend reappointment of Bridget Barr and Andrew Fyten to the Park and Rec.
Commission, and to recommend reappointment of Ralph Brauer to the Planning Commission,
with some discussion that Ralph Brauer may be a good candidate for the Park and Rec.
Commission. The panel was unable to arrive at a consensus regarding the E.D.A. seat with 3
members recommending Chris Riley, 2 members recommending David Minke, and 1 member
recommending Ryan Bakke. New applicants were evaluated and discussed. David Minke was
considered for both the EDA and the Park and Rec. Commission with consensus to recommend
appointment to the Park and Rec. Commission. The panel recommended appointment of
Jennifer Carlson to the E.P.B.; Richard Chubb to the Park and Rec. Commission; Joe Field,
Randy Bauer, and Rob Schiller to the Planning Commission/Board of Adjustment; and Jim
Bendtsen to the Board of Administrative Hearings. Two candidates were not recommended for
appointment at this time.
6. ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Councilmember Tossey, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to adjourn the meeting.
Motion carried.
The meeting of the City Council adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Colleen Lasher
Human Resources Representative
City Council / March 1, 2011
