Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to adopt <br />Resolution #99-12- approving the extension of an additional 60 day review period of an <br />interim use permit for a temporary office structure for Transwest, Inc. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Resolution to Request Continuance for an Interim Use Permit for a <br />Temporary Office Structure; Case of Amcor Precast <br /> <br />Planning Consultant Scalzo stated that on November 28, 1995, the City issued an interim use <br />permit to Amcor Precast at 6640 Industry Avenue NW, Ramsey for the utilization of a 24' x 60' <br />modular office structure until June 30, 1997 to complete their assessment of space needs for <br />preparing a site plan to develop the site as a permanent location for the applicant. After <br />determining that it was premature, because of lower than projected sales volume, to commit to <br />developing permanent office space on the property, the applicant applied for and was granted a <br />second interim use permit of two years for the use of the temporary structure, The applicants are <br />requesting another interim use permit to utilize the modular office structure for a two year period. <br />Amcor is presently looking for design build contractors for a 24,000 square foot manufacturing <br />facility to be built in the year 2000 with new offices and a batch plan to be constructed in 2001. <br />Staff recommended continuing the application until the City is able to review and adopt new text <br />supporting the processing and applications of interim use permits. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Request for Authorization for Execution of Addendum to Development <br />Agreement with Julian M. Johnson, d.b.a. Heritage Millwork <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that the City of Ramsey entered into a development agreement <br />with Heritage Millwork, on October 31, 1996. The original project included the construction of a <br />34,104 square foot facility, which is' in the business of manufacturing windows and doors for <br />home builders. Heritage Millwork is currently in the process of constructing a 28, 719 square <br />foot expansion to their facility and have requested assistance. The financial assistance would be <br />in the form of an addendum to their 1996 development agreement. The development agreement <br />addendum for this project allows for the contribution of $4,100 of the tax increment proceeds of <br /> <br />City Council/December 14, 1999 <br /> Page 7 of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
