The City
has previously granted permits for temporary structures in the commercial and industrial areas.
Staff recommended to continuing the application until the time that the City is able to review and
adopt new text supporting the processing and applications of interim use permits. The applicant
would be allowed to continue their operations during this review process and will be asked to
reapply and be processed under the newly adopted ordinance upon notification by the City.

Joe Wivoda arrived at 6:05 p.m.

Citizen Input

Steve Kapp, 7451 149th Avenue NW, Ramsey, employee of Transwest, Inc., stated that his
employers will be exploring the option of building a permanent structure or relocating depending
on business.

Commissioner Kociscak inquired as to type of business.

Mr. Kapp replied that they do truck and equipment leasing.

Commissioner Jensen inquired as to who owns the temporary structure.

Planning Commission/December 20, 1999
