CASE <br /> <br /> ADOPT ORDINANCES TO CHAPTER 9 SECTION 9.03.04 ADDING <br />SECTION 9.03.04A AND AME~ING SECTION 9.02 AND 9.03.04 SUBDIVISION 7 <br />OF ~ RAMSEY CITY CODE <br /> By: City Planner, Anita Rasmussen <br /> <br />Background: <br />Ramsey City Code presently does not have language to def'me, support and process the <br />application of interim use permits. <br /> <br />Observations: <br />The definition and purpose of an interim use is a temporary use of property until a <br />particular date, until the occurrence of a particular event or until zoning regulations no <br />longer permit it. This zoning regulation will permit the governing body to allow an <br />interim use based upon the regulations and conditions set forth by the ordinance. <br /> <br />Included for your review: 1) Minutes from the Decemb~i) 20, 1999 Planning Commission Meeting <br /> 2) Minutes from the December 21, 1999 City Council Meeting <br /> 3) First draft of the Interim Use Permit Ordinance dated 12/1999 <br /> 4) Revised draft of the Interim Use Ordinance <br /> <br />On December 20, 1999 the Planning commission forwarded an Interim Use Permit <br />Ordinance to the City Council for adoption. The City Council recommended adding a <br />maximum 5-year time limit on Interim Use Permits. Staff is bringing it back to the <br />Planning Commission for a second hearing. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />City Staff recommends approval of the interim use ordinance as now drafted. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br />Motion to recommend that City Council adopt ordinance #2000- to amend Chapter 9 <br />of the Ramsey City Code adding Section 9.03.04A titled "Interim Use Ordinance," <br />amend Section 9.02 adding the definition of "Interim Uses" and eliminating the language <br />in 0.03.04 Subdivision 7 allowing specified time frames to be placed on Conditional Use <br />Permits. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br />Community Development Director <br />Community Development Assistant <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />PC: 03/06/2000 <br /> <br /> <br />
