Mr. Johnson responded that would not be a problem.

Commissioner Wivoda asked if the sign is going to be lighted.

Mr. Johnson responded he has not been given a detailed proposal, however, that is expected.

Barry Rother, leasing agent for Wayne Johnson, stated he is familiar with the area and the
services that may or may not be available. He stated this area needs services closer than Coon
Rapids, and the major reason why this is important is the types of shops that will want to have
their businesses there. It will not be Home Depot and those types of businesses. These small
businesses need every advantage they can get to let people know they are there, and there is
nothing more important than signage to let people see they are there. He highly recommended
they allow this.

Motion by Commissioner Dempsey, seconded by Commissioner Kociscak, to close the public
hearing. ,'

} .'
Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson N~xt, Commissioners Dempsey, Kociscak,
Johnson, and Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Anderson.

The public hearing closed at 8:42 p.m.

Commission Business

Acting Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at
8:42 p.m.

Motion by Commissioner Dempsey, to amend the Findings of Facts as follows:

o

10.

That on May 1, 2000, W.L.
