I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />CASE # I <br /> <br />INTRODUCE ORDINANCE TO VACATE DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS <br />IN PARK 67 INDUSTRIAL PARK; CASE OF CAMAS MINNESOTA, INC. <br /> By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City has received an application from CAMAS Minnesota, Inc. to vacate certain drainage <br />and utility easements on the site formerly occupied by Bjorklund Ready Mix at 6100 Industry <br />Avenue N.W. The site recently expanded by the acquisition of property to the south and east via <br />the plat of Business Park 95 5~ Addition. Consequently, CAMAS (new owners of Bjorklund <br />Ready Mix site) is requesting that the standard drainage and utility easements on the former <br />south and east property boundaries be vacated. <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />In accordance with State Statute, persons owning property within 350 feet of the subject property <br />were notified of the public hearing to consider vacating the easements. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />Vacation of the underlying easements is appropriate and the applicant should provide the City <br />with standard drainage and utility easements, in a recordable form, along the new parcel <br />boundaries. The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br />d) <br /> <br />Site location map <br />Exhibit A (former and present parcel configuration for 6100 Industry Ave.) <br />Exhibit B (easements to be vacated and acquired on 6100 Industry Ave.) <br />Proposed ordinance <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends adoption of the proposed ordinance to vacate certain utility easements in <br />Park 67 Industrial Park contingent upon the applicant providing replacement easements along the <br />new boundaries of the parcel generally known as 6100 Industry Avenue. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to introduce Ordinance #99- to vacate certain drainage and utility easements on Lots <br />3 and 4 of Block 1, Park 67 Industrial Park. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />CC: <br /> <br />Community Development Director <br />City Engineer <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />01112/99 <br /> <br /> <br />
