The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) Site lo. cation map <br />b) Sign plan <br />c) Draft Planning Commission meeting minutes dated January 5, 1999 <br />d) Proposed findings of fact <br />e) Proposed conditional use permit <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />All property owners with/n 350 feet of the subject property were notified of the public hearing. <br /> <br />Observations: " <br /> <br />The City Code restricts the sign surface area on ground or freestanding signs to 100 square feet <br />in the commercial district. The existing sign at Northland is I00 square feet. Northland is <br />proposing to add a 14 square foot "Instant Cash" message to their existing sign. In the past, <br />similar requests for additional sign space in the commercial districts have been approved by the <br />City Council. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on January 5, 1999, and no written or <br />verbal comments were received. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission and City Staffreconunend approval of the request. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #99-01-0_~/__~/' adopting Findings of Fact # 04!~ating to'Northland's <br />request for a conditional use permit to exceed sign size restrictions. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
