A1 Pint stated that he thought that there would be <br />difficulty with the property owners if effective measures were taken to reduce cut-through traffic. <br />He said that, ideally, the access point would be a city street located closer to the bridge, and <br />left-turn lanes would be added to CSAH 116. <br /> <br />My impression of these comments is that he thought that providing a safer facility for the cut- <br />through traffic would be acceptable (if not desirable) to Mn/DOT. It also seemed that he <br />believed that the cut-through traffic is a symptom of the lack of a north-south city street along <br />the Rum River and not a problem totally related to the absence of a signal at 142nd Avenue. <br /> <br />Obviously, before this issue is pursued any fu:ther, discussions with Anoka County and the <br />property owners must take place. <br /> <br />DRE/JRD/smf <br /> <br /> <br />
