Sealed bids must be received by 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January <br />15, 1999, at Ramsey City Hall, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota, <br />55303. The envelope should be marked "Park Shelter Bid" and also contain a $% bid <br />bond. <br /> <br />The City intends on receiving thc completed shelter in May, 1999. the hexagonal shelter <br />will be 40 feet across with a 4/12 pitched roof or greater. Below are additional details <br />that must be addressed in your bid. Any requested deviation in these specifications must <br />be clearly pointed out by the bidder. <br /> <br />* The 40-foot hexagonal shelter shall include six glue-laminated support columns and <br /> no center support. <br /> <br />· Supporting colurrms shall be a mi.njmum 4" x 6" pine, rated to a minimum .40 cca, <br /> from ground contact to a minimum 4' above grade. <br /> <br />· The shelter sham include connecting hardware of a minimum thickness of 1/4-inch <br /> plate steel <br /> <br />Roof decking shall be 2 x 6 or larger, kilnqtried lmber (No. I grade), selected for <br />appearance and be tongue & groove with 'V' groove on expos~ surface. Fascia must <br />be 2 x 6 No. 1 Grade lumber, rough sawn cedar. <br /> <br />· Roof shall be rated for a 40 psf or greater live load. <br /> <br />· Thc four-inch concrete floor shall be poured over compacted base material and <br /> reinforced with fiber-con and slope 1/4" per foot from the center. <br /> <br />· Concrete control joints shall mn corner to comer (resulting in an asterisk pattern <br /> converging in the center of the floor). Cross cuts shall be a minimum of 8' apart. <br /> <br />Concrete shall extend 12 inches beyond the drip line of the roof and slope from the <br />support posts at more than one percent, but less than two percent in grade. The <br />perimeter portion of the slab (16") shall be 12" in thielmess. <br /> <br />· Roofing shall be No. 1 grade cedar shingles over felt underlayment with perimeter <br /> drip edge. The bottom oourse of shingles must be glued. <br /> <br />· A hexagonal cupola with a functional weather Yale shall be included. <br /> <br />P.01/03 <br /> <br /> <br />
