Staff Recommendation: The Public Works Committee recommended that the City Council approve the site plan for parking lot expansion and additional access at 7533 Sunwood Drive NW, contingent upon full site plan approval by the City Council. City Staff recommends that any access on Sunwood Drive be aligned with any future access on Sunwood Drive on the block to the south and that no further access from Sunwood be granted on the north side of Sunwood Drive between Rhinestone and Sapphire Street. In addition, the Economic Development Authority (EDA) reviewed the project at their April 14th meeting and recommended to the City Council that the Wells Catering/PSD access and parking review be fast tracked, to allow the Wells Catering building permit to move forward separately from other issues the City is currently negotiating with PSD.
