I
I
I
I
I

I
I
'1
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

Lake should be completed. Trails along Sunwood Boulevard and south by way of Ir, aypton are
heavily used especially by ADULTS. Any park development in this area would be wonderful.
Alpine Park offers many recreational opportunities. It would be great to keep the south part of
the park somewhat wild if that is possible. It is nicely wooded and contains owls! we discovered.
How would wildlife be impacted by development of the park.

/
/

I-

}

A paved trail as showri would be nice and not bother wildlife.
developed? (Just ideas.)"

Could trails in the woods be less

Jack Menkveld, 1333 Osborne Road, Spring Lake Park - "Property south of 149th [Avenue],
west of Ramsey [Boulevard] and north of [County Road] 116 has been proposed to be changed to
transition residential. I am generally in agreement with this but feel that this use would benefit
from and should allow a convenience center use to support the higher density residential. I do
not agree with the proposed change fi.om Industrial to transitional residential on the property
north of [County Road] 116 (extended) and west of Arrnstrong Boulevard."

Leon Fischer, 15113 Nowthen Boulevard NW - "I own 9 acres south of City Hall, containing one
house. The parcel has City sewer on four sides. I propose the property be moderate density of
10-12 units per acre. In the near future, the City of Ramsey will build a form of senior/civic
center. The area would compliment the City held property with a higher density area for senior
residents. Ramsey is not doing anything serious with life cycle housing. The City need not get
into the housing business if they provide proper zoning to encourage private development of life
cycle housing. This parcel is adequate size to provide housing of a 100 or more units. The
property is serviced by two major roads, Nos. 5 and 47."

I
I

Planning Commission/December 1, 1998

Po_ge 3 of 11
