I I I I I I I I I I I I I 1 I I I I That the proposed location for the Tower and equipment building on the plan revision dated January 5, 1999 meets the B-1 Business District setback standards. That City Code requires ground mounted equipment to be screened from view by suitable vegetation, except where a design of non-vegetative screening better reflects and complements the character of the surrounding neighborhood, as determined by City Council 10. That the tower and equipment building are proposed to be constructed on an existing paved parking lot where planting vegetative screening is not an option; however, there is an existing tree line in the vicinity of the tower'site that meets the.screening requirement. 11. That the Applicant has stated that there will be no personnel stationed at the site and the base of the tower will be encompassed by a security fence to prevent unauthorized entry. 18. That the Applicant has stated that the existing access to the Subject Property is adequate and no parking will be required because site visits will be infrequent and of limited duration. 19. That City Code states that no new tower shall be approved unless the City Council finds that the equipment planned for the proposed tower cannot be accommodated on an existing or approved tower or building within a ½ mile radius of the proposed tower for various reasons including insufficient height to functional reasonably. That the Applicant has stated that there are no existing buildings in the ½ mile search area of a sufficient height to accommodate the proposed equipment. That there are two existing towers located .3 miles and 2.06 miles from the proposed Tower location that the Applicant states are not of a sufficient height to accommodate the proposed equipment so that it will function reasonably. That the City has engaged the services of a consultant to confirm that the existing tower in the ½ mile search area is not of a sufficient height to meet the needs of the Applicant.
