CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 26, 2003, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Assistant Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attomey William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. and called <br />upon Councilmember Kurak to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENT <br /> <br />Maria Norman, Happy Days Committee, announced that the City's Happy Days will be held on <br />September l 3"' and reviewed all the activities that would take place this year. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Ed Hamilton, 6615 Highway #10 NW, Ramsey, stated that he has been complaining about the <br />smell of the asphalt plant for some time now. He stated that there have been 12 days this <br />summer where he has smelled the odor, which he felt could be adverted if the asphalt company <br />were to build their stack 30 to 40 feet higher. Having to live with the smell he did not feel was <br />fair to him.
