(RLK) the Opportunity to summit our fee proposal for <br />completing the final design and construction services on the 153rd/155th Avenue NW project. <br />Our firm has enjoyed working.with you il).the past, and look fbrward to the opportunity to assist <br />you with the successful design and implementation of this project. <br /> <br />To recap what has occurred up to this point, RLK was hired and completed preliminary plans for <br />the 153Td/155th Avenue NW project in 1994-1995. The City decided not to proceed with <br />construction, at which time the project was put on hold. The City has recently decided to move <br />forward with this project, and has asked RLK to submit a cost estimate to complete the <br />engineering and'construction services. <br /> <br />We are Prepared to finalize the plans and sPecificationS on behalf0fthe City, and submit them to <br />State-Aid for their review. Following State-Aid's review, RLK would make any required <br />changes, finalize the plans and specifications, bidding documents and assist the City with the <br />procurement process. RLK proposes to assist with construction observation and construction <br />survey staking services. <br /> <br />Although the plans are.at 85-90 percent complete, there are still several unknowns in dealing <br />with the State Aid Review process. Because of these unknowns, it is difficult to know at this <br />time the extent of work required to get the plans approved and bid. As discussed, we propose to <br />complete the plans and .specifications and bidding on au ho,~rly basis.
