Absent: Commissioner Dempsey. <br /> <br />NOTE CITY COUNCIL M]]NUTES <br /> <br />1) City Council regular meeting minutes dated December 8, 1998. <br /> <br />2) City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated December 15, t998. <br /> <br />3) City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated January I2, 1999. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS/PUBLIC H-EARING <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Exceed the Total Amount of <br />Accessory Building Space and the Single Building Size Restriction on a <br />Parcel; Case of Greg Landowski <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson closed the regular:'portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 7:35 <br />p.m. in order to conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairman Anderson called the public hearing to order at 7:35 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated the City received an application fi.om Greg Landowski for a <br />conditional use permit to exceed the total amount of accessory building space and the single <br />building size restrictions on his property at 6131 Green Valley Road. Mr. Landowski raises <br />horses and is proposing to construct a 13,200 square foot indoor riding arena. His property is 10 <br />acres in size and City Code allows a total of 5,264 square feet of garage and accessory building <br />space on the property; and, no single building should exceed 4,400 square feet in size. He <br />currently has an 836 square foot garage and a 1,950 square foot barn, for a total of 2,786 square <br />feet of accessory building space. The remaining accessory structure allotment is 2,478 square <br />feet. The proposal for an indoor riding arena is a I0,722 square foot overage in the total amount <br />of accessory structure space allowed on the property and an 8,800 square foot overage in the <br />single building restriction. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik said the City approved a similar request in the past. Mr. <br />Landowski's exterior facing finish on the structure is colored metal panels to match the home and <br />existing barn.
