I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I i I Councilmember RESOLUTION IMPROVEMENT FROM 171ST AVENUE TO A POINT 1000 FEET SOUTH THEREOF) introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #99-05- RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING PROJECT #98-16 (BITUMINOUS PAVING CONTRACT FOR OF BISON STREET WHEREAS, Resolution #98-10-246 authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for Improvement Project #98-16; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the bituminous paving of Bison Street from 171st Avenue to a point 1000 feet south thereof, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on May 7, 1999; and WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: Bidder Amount of Bid W.B. Miller, Inc. Hardrives, Inc. North Valley, Inc. Bauerly Companies 36,587.50 39,880.50 40,665.00 52,140.70 AND WHEREAS, it appears that W.B. Miller, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with W.B. Miller, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the bituminous paving of Bison Street from 171st Avenue to a point I000 feet south thereof in the amount of $36,587.50. 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
