One area of study that the City has identified is a study
regarding the redevelopment potential of underutilized industrial properties. Staff drafted a
Request for Proposal (RFP) that the City Council approved on March 23 and the RFP was sent to
10 consulting firms. In response to our request the city received proposals from four firms.

Observations:

Staff will be interviewing each of the fn'ms on May 7 and May 10 in order to more fully explore
the anticipated results of the study.

Recommendation:

Staff will provide a recommendation to the Council at the meeting on May 11, 1999.

Council Action:

Based on discussion

Reviewed by:

City Administrator

CC: 5/11/99

g:\users\cindyLRFP

/I
