This
property is owned by William Rome and is on the comer of 161st Lane NW and
Dysprosium St. NW.

Over its many year history, Rum River Scout Camp has tried to provide a wilderness
experience to thousands of young people in an attempt to teach them about the wonders
of nature and, from that, a respect for the environment. We believe this is an important
value for the next generation.

We feel the size and location of the proposed pole barn addition would diminish that
wilderness environment. We, therefore, are not in favor of the proposed addition.

We would like to thank the City of Ramsey for the opportunity to respond to this
request and appreciate the City's continued support of our programs for young people.

Sincerely,

Lee Johnson
Properties Committee Chairman

ck McDevi~~ ~~~
~f ~.uppOrt Services

t'-'t
