November 3, 1998 <br /> <br />Steve Jankowski, City Engineer <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd NW <br />Ramsey MN 55303 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Jankowsld; <br /> <br />This is a request for stop signs to be installed at the intersection of 144th Lane and <br />Tungsten Way in Kamsey. Traffic goes through th.is intersection at high speeds in all <br />four directions. Drivers assume they are on the main road and do not slow down <br />assuming vehicles coming from other directions must yield. There are many near <br />accidents because it is not clear which road is the primary road. Th.is intersection is also <br />a bus stop for many children in the neighborhood along with two other bus stops on 144m <br />Lane. With cars not slowing on 14J~~h Lane it makes getting to the bus stops dangerous <br />for children. <br /> <br />The neighborhood has been discussing this problem for some time and I thought it was <br />time to take some action. Feel free to call me or any of my neighbors for further <br />information on our concerns with this intersection. I can be reached during the day at <br />494-6023 or evenings at 576-9784. If you would like me to provide you with names and <br />numbers of other neighbors, please feel free to call. I wanted to get this letter out as soon <br />as possible before we get too far into winter, when seeing the children can become <br />difficult .with all the snow banks.
