If Council wishes to pursue this <br />approach the draft will require an amendment. <br /> <br />*:* Reservations <br />Current language allows reservations to be made no more than six.months in advance. In <br />practice, Girl and Boy Scouts have been allowed to reserve for the school year, up to nine <br />months in advance. The draft policy allows up to nine months for reservations. <br /> <br />· :. Fees and Deposits <br />Due to the lack of available Staff to be present for after hours and weekend City Hall rentals, the <br />draft proposes that the current practice of allowing key rental for City Hall be continued. To <br />protect Fire garage property, a combination lock has been ordered for the Fire access door <br />opening to the Fire Garage. The combination lock will keep out "wanderers" but also provides <br />fire fighters, who may be upstairs, a method to open the Fire garage door without a key. <br /> <br />· .*o Hours of Use <br />The existing policy allows for use between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. The revised <br />policy clarifies that those hours are strictly for Monday through Friday and Saturday's hours <br />would be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p,m. No rental will be offered on State recognized holidays. <br />City Staff, outside of police officers and emergency snow plowing crews, are not on duty to <br />assist with problems that develop in rented facilities on holidays.
