I I I I I I I I I Io I I I I I I i I I FACILITY USE AND RENTAL POLICY MUNICIPAL CENTER / PARK CENTER The purpose of this policy is to provide written guidelines in conjunction with the use and rental of the Municipal Center and Park Center. This policy supersedes Resolution #88-49 adopted March 22, 1988. The Ramsey Municipal Center houses the administrative, police, and fire functions of the City of Ramsey. The Park Center houses the Parks/Utilities Supervisor. Additionally, the Municipal Center serves as the official location for the various public meetings of the City Council and other governmental bodies. With the Ramsey Municipal Center, the following rooms may be available for public use in accordance with ttfis policy: Council Chambers * Lower Level South * Capacity: 65 persons .. Capacity: 93 persons * These areas may be divided to accommodate smaller groups. The Park Center has available for public use in accordance with this policy, one large common area that accommodates a capacity of 74 persons. PRIORITY OF USE The priority of use of these facilities is as follows: 1) Governmental Functions: a. Offices and City Council b. Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment c. All other Commissions d. Sub-committees of City Council or Commissions e. Administrative 2) Organized Groups: a. Senior Citizen groups Note: The lower level south was funded with Federal funds for senior citizens. This specific area is available to senior citizen groups with minimal reservations described in this policy. b. Groups performing a public service (e.g., AA, Mediation Services, educational services) c. Groups whose purpose is to perform public service (e.g., Boy or Girl Scouts, RYAA) d. Groups who wish to use the facility for recreation or routine meetings
