I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmembcr introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #99-06- RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE 1999 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM (IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS #99-01 THROUGH #99-07) WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolutions #99-05-080 through #99-05-086 passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 11, 1999, the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the 1999 Street Maintenance Program and has presented such contract documents and specifications to the Council for approval; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer prepared and inserted in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such contract documents and specifications. The advertisement was published for 21 days, specifying the work to be done, stating the date and time bids must be received by the City Administrator, at which time they would be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), then tabulated, and submitted for consideration by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 1999 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid is given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids are considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That such publishing of the advertisement for bids for the 1999 Street Maintenance Program is hereby approved. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 8th day of June, 1999.
