Where the work anthorized by this pennit involve~ the draining, filling or burning ofwefl~n& not subject to DNR jurisdiction, the permlttee shall ~ initiate any wcnk ~ this permit until thc per'mlttee has obtained official approval ~om the responsible governmental unit as required by thc Mfinncsota Wetlands Conservation Act of 1991 SPECIAL PROVISIONS Erosion control measures shall be adequately designed for the site characteristics. They may include staked haybales, diversion chain sediment ponds, or sediment fences. They shall be installed in accordance with "Protecting Water OualiW in Urban Areas - Best Manager! practices for Minnesota" MPCA, October 1989, prior to commencement and maintained throughout the project. All exposed soil shat stabilized as soon as possible and no later than 72 hours after the completion of the project. Topsoil should be used to re-dress disturbed areas and indigenous plant species should be used to revegetate disturbed areas whenever possible. No activity affecting thc bed of the protected water may be conducted between March 15 and June 15, to minimize impacts on fish spaw~ and migration. If work during this time is essential, it shall be done only upon written approval of the Area Fisheries Manager, at 651 7950. The permittee shall ensure that the contractor has received and thoroughly understands all conditions of this permit. The Permittee is authorized to maintain the approved work to the dimensions herein described. Prior to commencing any maintenance w, the Permit'tee shall advise the Department of Natural Res°urees of the extent and method of maintenance. Maintenance work shall no commenced until perrnittee receives written approval from the Department. Upon completion of the authorized work, the permittee shall submit representative photographs and any as-built surveys, as appropriat~ the project area to DNR Metro Region Waters (1200 Warner Road, St. Paul, MN 55106). The permittee shall not remove trees or alter the grade of the bluffor land within 40 feet of the bluff before obtaining appropriate permit approvals fi.om the City of Ramsey.
