Mike's Woodworking is located at 7520 149~ Avenue N.W., in the Pineview
Estates 2nd Addition P.U.D. As you recall, this P.U.D. is to accommodate residences with
businesses operating out of accessory buildings on the site. The following items are enclosed:

a)
b)
c)
d)
e)

Site location map
Site plan
City Staff review letter dated May 24, 1999
Draft Planning Commission meeting minutes dated June 1, 1999
Proposed development permit

Notification:

Because site plans are not required to be subjected to a public hearing, no notification of the
pending development was forwarded to area property owners.

Observations:

Mike is proposing to construct an 864 square foot addition to the existing 2,964 square foot
woodworking shop, for a total shop size of 3,828 square feet. This purpose of the addition is to
augment his warehouse space and the adjusted building size is in conformance with the lot
coverage restriction on the commercial portion of the property. The addition meets all setback
requirements.

Mike is proposing to expand the existing concrete driveway and approach to include this addition
to the building. With the exception of restoring disturbed areas with turf, no additional
landscaping is required as a result of the expansion.

The City Engineer is recommending that silt fence be used to protect the wetland on the property
during construction. The addition is proposed to be finished with 8" masonite lap siding like the
existing business building and home on the property.

The Planning Commission reviewed the site plan on June 1.
