has become more sophisticated and there is a corresponding trend in compliance with the sign <br />regulations; c.u.p.'s for overages have been minimal in recent years. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission has recommended that the applicant's business identification portion <br />of the freestanding sign remain within the 100 square feet restriction, and that a conditional use <br />permit be granted for an additional 45 square feet to accommodate a reader board. They <br />recommended that the sign height be consistent with adjacent signage (Holiday Siationstore). <br />The Commission also spe.cified that the 100 square foot logo and the 45 square foot allotment for <br />a reader board cannot be incorporated into one sign surface and used as a 145 square foot logo <br />with no reader board. Staff has retrieved the sign permit issued to the Holiday Stationstore and <br />the height of the freestanding sign on the application is 23 feet.
