CASE <br /> <br />APPLICATION FOR A ONE-DAY 3.2 PERCENT MALT LIQUOR LICENSE; <br />CASE OF RAMSEY LIONS CLUB <br /> By: Police Chief David Gustafson <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Ramsey Lions Club has properly applied for a one-day 3.2 percent beer license for <br />sales on Saturday, July 17, 1999. The site of the sales and event is a car show in the <br />parking lot of the Anchors Away Car Wash/Quick Lube facility located at 6745 Hwy. <br />#10 N.W. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The Ramsey Lions have provided all of the necessary documents required for the <br />issuance of this type of license. The Lions Club will use the proceeds from the beer sales <br />to help defray civic event costs such as the annual community picnic held at Central Park. <br /> <br />The Lions Club is requesting that City Council waive the application fee. The fee has <br />been waived in the past. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends approval of the application for a one-day 3.2 percent malt liquor <br />license and waiving the application fee. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to approved/deny the request from the Ramsey Lions Club for a one-day 3.2 <br />percent malt liquor license on Saturday, July 17, 1999 at 6745 Hwy. #10 N.W. <br /> <br />-and- <br /> <br />Motion to approve/deny the request from the Ramsey Lions Club to waive the fee for a <br />one-day 3.2 percent malt liquor license. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />CC: 07/13/999 <br /> <br /> <br />
