City of Ramsey

15153 NOWTHEN BOULEVARD N.W., RAMSEY, MINNESOTA 55303

PHONE (612) 427-1410 FAX (612) 427-5543
TDD (612) 427-8591

~uly 19, lPP9

Mr. Bill Pritchard
On-in Thompson Homes
8421 Wayzata Blvd., Suite 300
Golden Valley, MN 55426

Re: Lot 9, Block 1, Apple Ridge Addition

Dear Mr. Pritchard:

On July 9, 1999, I met on-site with Mr. Morgan Bickle of your firm to discuss the grading situation on the
above lot, which I wrote to you about on June 22, 1999. That meeting concluded with the understanding
that a plan involving a storm sewer would be prepared by Orrin Thompson and submitted for review
within two weeks.

Last week, lots within the area had the backyards regraded with no prior explanation to the City or the
homeowners. Homeowners are calling the City and making inquiries as to the outcome of this situation.

I am certain that many of the property owners of Lots 1 through 10, Block 1, Apple Ridge subdivision are
anxious to complete the landscaping of their properties. The error made in constructing Mr. Wyse's home
(Lot 9, Block 1) and the uncertainty of the final grades is preventing them from doing so. To prov/de
some direction for closure on this issue, I am setting August 18, 1999, as a deadline for resolving this
problem. By copy of this letter, I am advising the owners of Lots 1 through 10 that they may proceed
with landscaping after this date. Should it be necessary to regrade and re-landscape because the final
approved grades differ from those existing on deadline, the costs will be borne by Orrin Thompson
Homes and charged against any escrow accounts if necessary. Your earliest attention should be given to
this matter.

Sincerely,

CITY OF RAMSEY

City Engineer

cc: Dean Kapler, Director of Public Works
Ryan Wyse, 15780 Krypton Court NW (Lot 9, Block I)
Abraham Cyr & Christine Ammarm, 15790 Krypton Court NW (Lot 10, Block 1)
Timothy & Kr/sti Booth, 15791 Lithium Street NW (Lot 1, Block 1)
William & Wanda Tanski, 15781 Lithium Street NW (Lot 2, Block 1)

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I'
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
