I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #99-08- RESOLUTION RESTRICTING ARMSTRONG AND VARIOLITE REQUIREMENTS PARKING ON 153rd/155th BETWEEN IN CONFORMANCE WITH STATE AID WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey ("City") has submitted to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the plans and specifications for the construction of 153~°/155th Avenue NW from Armstrong Boulevard NW to Vadolite Street NW'; and WHEREAS, the "City" will be expending Municipal Street Funds on the improvements of this Street; and WHEREAS, this improvement does not provide adequate width for parking on both sides of the street; and approval of the proposed construction as a Municipal State Aid Street project must, therefore, be conditioned upon certain parking restrictions; and WHEREAS, the approved state aid standards as applicable to this project limit and restrict all parking to that which is parallel with the curb. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: I) That the "City" shall ban the Parking of motor vehicles on 153Ta/155th Avenue NW at all times, except on the south side fi.om STA. 104+39.48 to STA. 108+46.30, and from STA. 116+15.00 to STA. 130+85.97 on the south side. 2) That the City of Ramsey shall require that parking of all vehicles within the corporate limits on 153rd/155th Avenue NW, State Aid Route No. 199-101-09 be parallel with the curb in accordance with the State Aid Standards. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember ,and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 24th day of August 1999.
