CASE <br /> <br />CONSIDER ORDINANCE TO EXTEND DEVELOPMENT MORATORIUM ON <br />CERTAIN PARCELS WITHIN THE CITY OF RAMSEY; <br /> CASE OF CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Over the course of the past 13 to 26 months, certain parcels in Ramsey identified as being land <br />use sensitive as it relates to the drafting of the new Comprehensive Plan have been under a <br />development moratorium. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />As the Council continues to work on updating the Comprehensive Plan, it is apparent that these <br />certain parcels remain to be land use sensitive. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The City Attorney is recommending that the development moratorium be extended on these <br />parcels to the full 30 months allowed under State statute. The purpose of the moratorium <br />extension is to provide sufficient time to complete the Comprehensive Plan update and amend <br />local zoning ordinances to implement the new Plan.
