On July 27th, the Personnel Committee authorized staff to proceed with an <br />internal posting for the recruitment process. Based on that guidance, the position was advertised <br />internally and one application from a seasonal employee was received. A panel consisting of the <br />Administrative Services Manager, the Public Works Director/Fire Chief, the Public Works <br />Supervisor and the Parks/Utilities Supervisor interviewed the candidate on August 17. <br /> <br />Based on interview results, staff is recommending that Greg Lind be hired for the Public Works <br />Maintenance Worker position, contingent upon successful completion of background <br />investigations of driving record and criminal history, reference checks and a physical <br />examination. Mr. Lind's annual salary would be the starting step of the position in the City's <br />compensation plan, $24,071.00, or $11.57/hour.
