Plans and sketches were presented that were provided by
the architect finn of SEH, which reflected the floor plan that was given approval by the
Public Safety Board on March 11, 1999.

The group discussed the design in length and agreed to the preliminary design of the
exterior with the following suggestions:
1) Floor to ceiling windows in the administrative area: It was suggested that the
amount of glass be reduced for easier maintenance and aesthetic reasons.
2) Look at a more conventional overhead garage door rather than the pictured garage
doors, which have plexi-glass in them.

Council Action:

Motion to approve the basic design of the building and authorize Fire Chief Kapler to
notify the firm of SEH that the general floor design has received approval and that they
are authorized to proceed with the design of the "detail" work.

Reviewed by:

Fire Chief
City Administrator
Finance Officer

CC: 09/14/99

G.'lusers~JThielingi~lOICOUNCIL& [CITYCOUNl1999tSeptemberlFireSta#2.doc 09/10/99

4
