Councilmember Connolly stated that she knew of a truck maintenance company in the area that will come to the site to do maintenance. Mr. Kapler requested that Councilmember Connolly research the information on the company for him. Councilmember Zimmerman stated that he would be willing to consider the idea of hiring a part- time mechanic. The item will be further discussed at the next Personnel Committee meeting. Councilmember Anderson stated she saw a car in another city that had the writing "this vehicle was donated by a'locaI drug dealer" and thought what a good idea it was. Councilmember Hendriksen stated that it xvould be a good idea to do the same with the City truck that was received due to a DUI and requested that they discuss the idea with the City Attorney and if he agrees with the idea then go ahead with placing it on the truck. 6) Authorization to Fill Vacant Administrative Assistant Position Administrative Services Manager Pruitt Hottinger stated that with the resignation of Melissa Petrangelo, the City has a vacancy in the position of Administrative Assistant. The starting salary range for the position is $15.00 per hour. The position is confidential in nature and is exempt. Councilmember Anderson questioned if they would consider an intern for the position. City Administrator Norman stated that they are not looking for an intern, that they would like someone long term. Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if the position should be posted both internal and external. Administrative Services Manager Hottinger replied that she will post the position both internal and external. Councilmember Hendriksen asked why they would not consider the use of an intern for the short term. City Administrator NmTnan explained that the position picks up City Administrator tasks and that they are already behind.
